Acura-Flex Extended Range Collets - 1/4 & 3/8 Capacity Collets

How to Order:

  • Order by part number listed.
  • Tool size range of collet must match tool size range of chuck.

Features:

  • Extended clamping range, .02"
  • 50% more gripping power than any other single-taper collet available.
  • Collets are guaranteed to .0005 T.I.R. at 2 times the tool diameter, or a maximum one-inch from the face of the collet.  Sizes .062 thru .172 are guaranteed .0010 at the nose.

Mounting Information:
Acura-Flex collets must be assembled to the Acura-Flex nut before inserting collet into chuck.
To assemble collet to nut, stand collet on end, on any firm surface, nose up. Place nut over collet. (1) Push down on nut with palm of hand. (2) the collets nose will collapse slightly allowing it to enter the nut.

To remove collet from nut, hold the nut firmly in one hand and grasp the collet with the other. (3) Apply a bending pressure (4) until nut separates from collet. On smaller size collets (1/4, 3/8 and 1/2), where the collet nose projects beyond the nut, nuts may be removed by setting collet/nut assembly nose down on a firm surface and pressing down on nut until collet disengages.
