was designed from the ground up to provide optimum performance and efficiency in a tool
holding system that allows tools to be changed in a few seconds.
Whereas other systems use a (non-locking) Milling Machine Taper
shank, Kwik-Switch uses a self-locking shallow-angle taper. This feature provides several
unique advantages.
Greater driving power/accuracy. The locking angle taper provides
a more rigid seat for the tool adapter and allows it to withstand greater cutting forces
and vibration without allowing the tool adapter to loosen. Further, with constant locking
force (as described above) always present, Kwik-Switch further guards against tool drop
out" or loose-tool damage.

These features also allow higher horsepower to be transmitted, which means higher feed
ratesmore machine output. Work accuracy is also improved by minimizing tool
deflection and Kwik-Switch is manufactured to closer tolerances than other systems -
run-out of the spindle or holder is guaranteed to be .0005" T.I.R. or less up to
